Bangladesh's tour of India 2024

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the Team India would play a two-match Test & three match T20I series against the Bangladesh cricket team in September 2024. Read below.

The Bangladeshi team is visiting India after their country has witnessed a civil unrest over a month. Following the students' protests last month that led to the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there have been reports of communal clashes, with attacks on minorities, especially Hindus.

The BCCI secretary Jay Shah has assured the Bangladesh Cricket Board(BCB) of adequate security measures being taken during their three week stay in the country. Bangladesh will start training from Monday (15/09).

Bangladesh is currently in top form, having whitewashed Pakistan 2-0 to win their first Test series on Pakistani soil. The team secured a 10-wicket victory in the first Test, followed by a six-wicket win in the second.
